Not sure what to say?

Dear Diane, Stephanie and Carl:

I was shocked to learn of Steve's passing. I have many fond memories of Steve playing the tuba in the C-G marching band and driving the fire truck in many of our parades. He always had a knack for making people laugh. His Donald Duck impression will live on vividly in my memory. Stephanie and Carl are fortunate to have had Steve in their lives, as well as you, Diane. It has been a pleasure watching Stephanie grow into such a nice young lady. ...

Anne,

I was on the way to work today and on the radio I heard about your brother. What a shock, I am so terribly sorry.

I hope you remember me, I worked with you at Robertshaw before you got transferred to Rockford.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.

Mark and I want to express how sorry we are for your loss. No words will ever bring the comfort, although sometimes they will help ease the pain a bit. Please know the prayers and thought of our family are with your family and will be forever. Also know the Fire Departments from around the area are with you and will be here for you and your family.
Please take care, and take strength in knowing how many are behind you.
Our love and prayers,
Mark and Jennifer...

We are so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. We got to know Steve while working at HEPD and our paths would cross on calls. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to his family. The HEFD/HEPD family lost one of it's finest member. Rest in peace Steve.

Dear Diane,
I was so shocked and saddened to read the email sent to me by Judy about Steve. Diane, please accept my heartfelt condolences, be strong for yourself, Stephanie and Carl. Always remember the fond memories you had with Steve and pray to God that you may have the strength to go on with your life for the sake of your children. I hope these excerp from a poem will give you comfort to know that Steve is:
Safely Home
I am home in Heaven, dear ones
Oh, so...

Anne, what a shock when I read last week's paper. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this most difficult time. I know all of Cary are wearing their hearts at half-mast. May you find comfort in your memories and may you also find peace from the knowledge of God's love.

I was very shocked and sad to hear of the sudden death of Steve. I first met Steve and the rest of his family when I worked with Air One Equipment. When I answered the phones and Donald Duck was on the other end, it always made me laugh. We have lost a very good person and friend, he will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and all the people that knew him.

I have known Steve Macko for many years I was a paramedic rider for several years in Hoffman estates. I work at St.Alexius medical center as a Nurse in the ER, myself and all the ER staff will miss steve. tony

Dear Diane and Family,

I've had the pleasure of working on shift with Steve for most of his career in Hoffman Estates. He taught me many things, but more importantly, he made me laugh. Needless to say he will be sorely missed.

You are in our prayers;

Chip and Peggy O’Connor
