Not sure what to say?

While I had only met your brother (and son) once at the Costa's party during the summer of 2005, I remember him as an energetic, fun loving guy who seemed to bring quite a bit of happiness to those he touched. My prayers are with your entire family and anyone who is close to Steve. I'm sure you recognize how lucky all of you are to have him as one of your angels. While he may not physically be here I'm sure you all realize he is always with each of you each and every moment of every day.

Although it's been years since I've seen Steven, I can still vividly remember him dressed as a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, karate-chopping through the house as a 7 year old. My thoughts are with the whole Merrihew family and all of those that knew Steven.

To the Merrihew Family, I am sending my deepest sympathies and wishing you strength for the days ahead. I haven't seen you for almost 20 yrs but I have never forgotten any of you. I look back so fondly on all of my days babysitting for Jackie, Christy and Steven. I will never forget little Steven's huge smile, it was truly contagious. Needless to say, my heart broke when I heard the news. I attended his service and was unbelievably moved...I only regret that I never knew Steven, the...

I did not know Steve by name but when I saw his picture in Starbucks my heart sank. I remember him as such a fun, happy guy who made a great latte. He always knew what I wanted as soon as entered the store. He had such a great smile that would make you feel better when you left. My thoughts are with your family in this time and you are in my prayers. He will be your angel watching over you.

I didn't know your son by name, only as the young man who worked at Starbucks and greeted all with his beautiful smile. He treated everyone who walked into the store like he was happy to see them; I was always amazed by this. I am sure you are so proud of him and I hope time helps ease your pain

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Annette, Brydon, Jackie and Christy

I am deeply sorry and saddened by your loss. I will remember Steven as someone who was wise beyond his years. He was funny, energetic, and outgoing; in many ways he was like a “little brother” to those who spent time in the Merrihew household. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you in this difficult time.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. You and your family will be in my prayers.

The Goddus are getting together this weekend and we'll be thinking of you, praying, and shouldering a part of your burden. The search for Meaning seems frustrating right now, but we hope to build on what you and Stephen and God have created. With love,
