Steven Mortensen

I remember back in the early 1980s when Brother Mortensen was a Regional Representative for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. During that time I served in an Elders Quorum Presidency in the Boise Sixth Ward in East Boise. I was a married Boise State student. The Sixth Ward had many young married BSU students. I recall being in a few training meetings with Steven Mortensen. There was of course a big age difference between him and the members of our Quorum Presidency. Never the...

It was such a pleasure to meet and spend time with Mr. Mortensen (the father of our dear friend, Fran) a few years ago. He was a delightful, intelligent scholar, and gentleman, who definitely loved the Lord.

I have enjoyed sitting around and visiting with Steve. There are so many memory´s of conversations. He had a very sharp mind. He also had a graceful way of expressing of expressing his thoughts. It was a blessing to have had the chance to get to know him.
