Not sure what to say?

My condolences to the Symms family. In 1972 Steve Symms successfully ran for Congress in Idaho's 1st district. His campaign and election drew nationwide attention as he was a principled advocate for less government and more individual freedom and helped set a trend in the GOP that culminated with the election of Ronald Reagan in 1980, as well as his own election to the US Senate by defeating the very liberal incumbent Frank Church. My heartfelt condolences to the family of Senator Symms. I had the great privilege and honor to work with Steve at the lobbying. When he came into the office he was always cheerful and often made us laugh, especially when recounting one of his many colorful stories. He was a kind and generous boss and friend. The world seems a little dimmer without his light in it. Rest in peace sir you will be greatly missed.

Condolences to the family of Steve Symms. I briefly met & talked to him him in San Diego when I was in college. I listened to many of his speeches at Libertarian & Republican functions. His late son, Dan, was a friend. My favorite thing about his family is the Apple Crisp recipe of his grandmother, Bertha Huff Knowlton, that I´ve used hundreds of times.
