Not sure what to say?

Dear Tim, Tricia, Mrs. & Mr. Yost and Family,
I came upon this notice today and am very sad to hear about Steve's passing. I can only hope that the happy memories of his time with you and with his wife and children can bring some comfort to you all. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Steve's passing has in many ways diminished us all---for we will no longer be favored by the broad grin that seemed his perpetual countenance. I knew him as friend, fellow patriot, officer and aviator. Steve's love of country, family and God were evident in everything he endeavored...such courage is not learned--it is God given and blessed by the family that raised and loved him throughout the short time his star burned in the heavens. We will all miss Steve...I pray that each of us may draw...

To all of Steve's family I wish to express my deepest sympathies. I just today learned of Steve's passing and could not believe it. My earliest recollections of our friendship go all the way back to Fairview Elementary School and Little League baseball. The ribbing that I would take from him as the Orioles (I think it was the Orioles he was on) and every other team in Little League beating up on the Padres. Three years hiatus during Middle School; he at NCMS and I at AMS lessened but never...

Steve grew up in the same neighborhood as myself in New Cumberland, PA. Over the years, I have lost touch with many of the friends I grew up with and was stunned when I heard of the loss of Steve. My sympathy goes out to the family.

Steve was a wonderful person to have known. I graduated with him and have known him since middle school. He will be missed at our hs class reunion. My prayer is for God to wrap a hedge of proctection around his family during this time of loss. God bless.

I too was a classmate of Steve and I agree with everyone who wrote what a great guy Steve was. He was a very kind person. Steve will be greatly missed at our class reunion. God has called home another Angel.

Gail,

I am so sorry for this tragic loss. Steve was a wonderful childhood friend to me, an honorable role model whom I always looked up to. Steve was a class act as a youth, and I regret not keeping in better touch with him as an adult. Our prayers are with you and Steve's wife and children.

In Christ's love,
Ted Riedel

Gail and Lynn: We were sad to hear of the death of your son/brother. I know by talking to Lynn how much he meant to your family.

You guys are special people so we can only image that Steven was also.

The Cental PA Volleyball Community will continue to pray for your family.

Thinking of you guys....

The Yost Family, our community and our country lost a great individual in Steve Yost. He was a selfless patriot and all around good guy. I knew Steve from RLHS, Class of 1986, and we will surely miss him. He was always good natured, friendly and kind toward everyone he met. He was usually the smartest guy in the room, but never bragged about it or showed off. Thank you to the Yost Family for hosting a second memorial service for Steve in New Cumberland today.
