REMEMBERING YOU! I WENT INTO THE HOSPITAL WITH A BAD HEART. THE DOCTORS SAID I NEEDED HEART SURGERY, I TOLD MY FRIEND IN THE ROOM WITH ME AND THAT I NEEDED HEART SURGERY AND DIDN'T EVEN HAVE A DOCTOR. I am so sorry for your loss. Dr Stock was so much more than my doctor, he was my friend and special angel. He cared for me for over 30 years and I know without him, I would not be alive today. I can remember waking up many times to see him in my hospital room at night checking on me or asleep in a chair. My thoughts and prayers are with the Stock family. I have been traveling and just found out this weekend that Dr. Stock had passed away. As a young nursing grad working in the CCU at Mercy Hospital in 1974, Dr. Stock was a great teacher and an inspiration to me. A quiet caring man he treated patients and staff with respect and kindness. My fondest memory--wagering $1 a game on all the college bowl games (he always let me pick first!). A wonderful man has been taken from this earth too soon.
