Enid, I went on line this morning and had my worst fears confirmed. I've emailed to what I thought was the new address a number of times since you and Stuart left for St. Louis. I was sure I had the right one, but no response. "I just hope he hasn't died," I told Patti. We are so very sad, particularly to learn of the stroke so soon after your move. Don't tell me the details; I don't want to know about any suffering endured by someone so undeserving of it. I loved Stuart so much. He was a true friend by its definition as I understand it. I will never, ever forget the things he (and you) did for me. He was a giver and the "take" part of the equation never even occurred to him. A special, sweet, loving man. I worry about you and Tasha. Maybe you can give me a call sometime 863-687-2115 and let me know how you're doing. Much love and may God bless. - Frank

I remember a Stuart M. Kaminsky on the staff of the University of Illinois in Chicago way back in the 1960's. I was over Stuart and Merle's home several times when the both of us were employed there. I was in my 20's then and he probably was in his early 30's. He was a wonderful, kind and gentle person.

I miss trading emails with Stuart for many years. Last time we "talked" was when Emmett Kelly, Jr. left us. Stuart has been a great encouragement to me. He'll live on in his words, but still, I feel as if I've been punched in the gut. Condolences to Enid and the family. Stuart will be sorely missed.

Stuart, you gave me friendship, understanding, and a cool poem by Jeremy Butler. More than that, you invited me into your life, and I'll always treasure the all-too brief years we knew each other. May you Rest In Peace, my friend. With your sense of humor, I'm sure you have God laughing at a good one-liner right now.
Enid, I treasure your friendship as well, and I wish I could offer words that might assuage your pain right now. Just know that I truly love BOTH of you, and I want you to stay a part of my life. I thank God that I had the chance to visit you both last June.
I'll be in touch.
Love and prayers,

From the moment I first read an Abe Lieberman novel, I was hooked. Thank you Mr. Kaminsky for all the years of happy reading. My thoughts and prayers to his family.
