Maune; dear daughter of Melba and the late Ron Heckman; dear sister of June (John) Jones; our dear niece, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend to many. We are very sorry for your loss. We knew Summer during her days as a drug rep-from the days she launched Taxotere to her days selling Erbitux. Her professionalism was unmatched and she was so welcomed in all of her offices. She had the ability to leverage her nursing background along with the skill to serve offices in their care of patients. In fact, I learned about her passing from one of the nurses she used to call on in St Louis. Summer was the type of rep that few offices will forget and the type of person that few people will forget. She will leave a mark upon our lives forever. Our moms were pregnant together and we virtually were born together. We were raised together in different States and taught the love of God from two wonderful sets of parents who, three of which, has now greeted you at the Gates of Heaven and shown you the welcome and open arms of Christ our Lord. While distance separated us through time, my fondest memories of growing up were with you and June, and our Moms and Dads. You were without doubt a shining star that everyone in these two families always looked to because of your beauty, your cheerfulness, smarts, and kind heart that would always be extended to anyone who would ever need it. You could always be counted on and you always gave more of yourself than anyone could ever give back or try to match. We could all hope to be the kind of wonderful person, spouse, daughter, sibling, and mother you were. You put a light in each of us, that shall always burn for you and in memory of you. But more important than that, to me, you were my sister from my other Mom and Dad and for that, I have and forever will always, smile when I think of you, love you, miss you, and remember you with all the love in my heart. I am thankful to God that I got to spend time with you before you had to go, and I shall cherish that for the rest of my days. Goodbye my love, my sis, my friend, my cousin...sleep peacefully in his loving arms until we meet again.
