I personally did not Sanna, her father and my grandfather John T Vitale were close friends. As a boy I remember going with my grandfather to visit her father at his beer distributorship. May her memory forever be a blessing.

Our late congressman, Francis Walter, had a knack for recruiting congressional staffers from Northampton County. Many of his selections continued to serve Congress for many years beyond his 1962 death. Sanna Baurkot was one of those public servants who continued for many years to achieve the expectations of her bosses and their constituents. Sanna often found herself as the last hope to a forgotten citizen in overcoming a complex government bureaucracy to satisfy a critical personal need. ...

Our hearts are heavy and broken by this sad news. Thank you for all you did for all of us, all those years. I'll always cherish our trip to our village in Lebanon in 1968, when I was 11 years old and you were a young woman, along with so many others.
