Mario and Nick, I grew up in Medford next door to your Mom. Your grandparents and my parents were best friends. I'm so sorry for your loss.

A friend is a friend until the end..but it never truly is..because I still talk to you like you never left. Watch over our babies, Sue. I boarded the smoke-filled school bus in front of the old wooden Rumford Elementary school on the first day of junior high school in September, 1969. As a scared 7th grader heading to the Kennedy, I met a kind, fun and wonderful girl named Susan Guertin. Susan invited me to sit down beside her for the bus ride. It was one of my best memories.

Growing up I remember your Mom being such a good Mom & more recently I have seen Gianna's eyes light up as she spoke of her grandmother. I know how cherished she was to all of you, and I hope you find peace in your memories of her. Please give Gianna a hug from Mrs. Nickerson.
