Not sure what to say?

Susan was in charge of the student ministry when I went to Clemson in 1983. She taught me what agape love is all about. She truly showed God's love to everyone she met.

To the family, we send our prayers, sympathy , and love to you all. Susan was, indeed a special lady, always full of energy and always providing for others. Even thru dementia, she was smiling and loving. When I last saw her at Dominion, she was cheerful and, though she didn't know just who I was, she knew I was a friend and we shared hugs (before Covid). Such a lovely lady! Remember the good times and know she is in a very. special place now.

So many memories of sweet Susan from the time you first moved to Clemson in the early 60's. Susan was a Mom to many and always opened her home to the students. I was so privileged to be part of that adopted student group. So many memories of the fun times we spent in your home from babysitting when the girls were young, the wonderful meals and Charles's funny stories. Susan was a treasure. God used her in mighty ways nurturing the hundreds of students that passed through her life and...

Debra & Melanie: So many memories of your sweet Mom from the time you first moved to Clemson in the early 60's. Susan was a Mom to many and always opened her home to the students. I was so privileged to be part of that adopted student group. So many memories of the fun times we spent in your home from babysitting when the girls were young, the wonderful meals and Charles's funny stories and even bluegrass music. Susan was a treasure. To all of Susan's family: We send out deepest condolences. Susan was, indeed, a very special woman with a giving heart, a sweet smile and a positive and kind word for everyone she met, with the love of Jesus shining through as she served as His witness for all to see! To know her was to love her!

Susan, Charles, and daughters were dear friends and leaders in their neighborhood

Hi to all in the family. Susan was a sweet, sweet lady. I worked across the street from her when she worked on campus at Clemson University, and of course knew her and Charles from church. I remember Susan's sweet smile which she never lost even with her dementia!! She will be soooo missed. Nancy Carls, Clemson

I have very fond memories of both Susan and Charles while at Clemson. They loved 'their' students and we loved them back! Know that lots of love and care surround the family in their grief. Hugs

Thoughts and prayers are with you!! She and her family have been friends for many, many years!! Love to all!!
