Not sure what to say?

Every time I drive past her memorial sign on I-70, I have always wondered. My heart and feelings reach to your family and loved ones. My brother-in-law in a Deputy in Darke Co.

I shall say a prayer each time I pass this sign.

I didn't know Officer Hopper in person, but you can know someone "by heart" when another is committed to doing good things for others. In that way, I knew her. Now that stretch of Interstate 70 bears her name: The Suzanne Hopper Memorial Highway, and I think of her every time my travels take me through Clark County, Ohio. Only this evening did I learn that Suzanne's husband, Matthew, rejoined her in Heaven in April 2014, and somehow, that knowledge comforts me. They are together again...

No matter how many years go by, people such as this dedicated woman will be sincerely missed by those who never even got to know her. She will forever remain a shining light that inspires us all to be better people and appreciate each day, each moment we are with our loved ones. Rest in eternal peace brave soul, you will never be forgotten. JK-B

I think about u every single day. there isn't a day that goes by that u r missed so badly. i wish u were here.

Deputy Waughtel u helped make me who i am today. u told me in 1999 u had faith in me when i was on crack real bad. u told me if i ever wanted to use again to promise to contact u first. u always had a smile and a hug for me every time i saw u. I miss that so much. The poem i wrote "deputies are people too" u said u loved so well. i miss you. u sacrificed your life for people like me.

Time may have passed, but her memory lives on. I hope her family is doing as well as can be expected.
