Suzanne Stork Obituary

Suzanne Rouse Stork COLUMBIA - Memorial service for Suzanne Rouse Stork, 72, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 22, 2015, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 until 11:00 a.m. at the church. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family. Mrs. Stork died Friday, June 19, 2015. Born in Fayetteville, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Louie L. Rouse and Louise Holland Rouse. She was a graduate of Fayetteville Senior High School and Methodist University, Fayetteville, N.C. Mrs. Stork was an elementary school teacher and an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Surviving are her husband, S. Paul Stork; daughters, Katherine S. Buescher (Chris), Anne S. Stewart (Jim); son, William S. Stork (Lindsey); grandchildren, Caroline, Elizabeth, Suzanne and Christopher Buescher, Alston and Sydney Stewart, Blythe and Spence Stork; brother, Louie Livingston Rouse, Jr. (Joyce); and sister, Belinda Hawley (Ted). In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Constance Parks and Patricia Jackson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3909 Forest Drive, Columbia, SC 29204. Please sign the online guestbook at www.dunbarfunerals.com.

Paul, Anne, Kathy, & Bill----I have known your family practically my entire life. When I think of Good Shepherd, the STORKS always entire my mind with warm memories. I am so sorry we have lost Suzanne, but she IS Living!!! The illness was awful but swift, and this is but ONE of so many blessings in her life.
