I MUST SAY THAT IT WAS INDEED A SAD DAY WHEN NEW'S OF JOE'S HOMEGOING REACHED ME. HE WAS TRULY MISSED WHEN HE MOVED TO GEORGIA, BUT NOW HE WILL BE MISSED THAT MUCH MORE. HE WAS A FORMER MEMBER OF THE HOPEWELL MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH IN NEW MARKET, ALABAMA (REV. LEROY COLE, PASTOR) AND A FAITHFUL MEMBER AND LEAD SINGER OF THE MALE CHORUS THERE.
