Not sure what to say?

I worked with Sylvia feeding, spaying, neutering and caring for the cats at Kroger Boonsboro. She was a treasure, so concerned for the homeless kitties. I moved from Lynchburg several years ago but kept in touch with Sylvia for years and knew she was carrying on caring for the cats. So kindhearted! I had not heard from her for a couple years and am saddened to hear of her illness and death. It's a huge loss to the community. May she rest easy...

Happy Birthday to my favorite childless cat lady! Sure do miss you...

I met Sylvia back in 1999 as a work colleague. She was a good mentor and friend. I lost touch with her after she moved back to VA but I was so glad she got back to her roots. She was a straight shooter and hard working American. She always had good advice. I figured she was in her 50s around then and I remember thinking one day I will be that age and driving a buick like her! I am there now just no buick. Her pain is over and worries no more. Rest in peace Sylvia.

I just was looking outside on this beautiful night and noticed that Sylvia´s light isn´t on. It´s a sad sight. I extend my sympathy to her family especially Will.

Thank you all so much for your kind words and remembrances. It was a difficult year for Sylvia, and she chose to fight this battle in private; but, she fought with a strength and determination that you would expect of her. We miss her terribly.

My memories of Sylvia go way back to 1969 when I met her and proposed to her in 1970. Alas it was not to be . Great memories. My sincere condolences to her entire extended family. Bob Ryan

To Kaye, Annette and Gayle, It's hard for me to believe that your sister - and a good friend of 70 years (Liberty Academy, Bedford HS and then Liberty HS - Class of '66) is no longer with us. Sylvia was a very smart, hardworking and professionally accomplished lady who will be missed by all of us. May "His peace" be with every family member.

To the family, I´m so sorry for your loss. Sylvia was a sweet lady and always a joy to work with.

I was one of Sylvia's caregivers I enjoyed being there for Sylvia in her time of need.May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Myra
