Not sure what to say?

Kelly,

I read about your father's passing in the Washington Post. Please accept my sincere sympathy. I remember meeting him when he came to DC when we worked together. I remember him being a kind, generous and funny man - and the first federal judge to break bread with me.
I have thought of you fondly over the years and remember the warm collegial bond we shared while working for the US Congress. I am still in DC.

Warmly,

Natalie C. Greene

I'm so blessed to meet Terry and Joan before he was sick. We learned alot of history from Terry. It was exciting to see pictures from relatives we didn't even know. I'm so Glad my mom Sally called and arranged a lunchen with Terry and Joan. It was the best lunch I ever had. Thank you so much for the memory I have of the family. I still can hear his voice telling storys of the past. He will be missed.

Dearest Joan,
How devastated we were to hear about Terry. We learned of his passing while out of town. How shocked and saddened we are. Our hearts go out to you and your children. Our community has lost a great man. Terry was not only the epitomy of a brilliant, honest, dedicated, fair, and compassionate man, but comedic too! He knew the secret to a well-lived life and left his mark. He will be sorrowfully missed by so many.
Please tell David how sorry we are!

Joan,...

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

My sincere sympathy to Terry's family and friends. I have fond memories of him from high school and college days, and although I haven't seen him in many years, I'll miss his being among us. I am so sorry to hear of his passing.

Unfortunately bad news travels. We just learned today of Terry's untimely passing. Please accept our condolences for this great loss to family, friends and the community. He will be missed by so many people who's lives he touched.
