Teresa Morgan Obituary

Teresa Brown Morgan, 62, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Baptist Health Hardin.

She was born March 8, 1961, to the late B.F. and Ellen Brown. She graduated from LaRue County High School, St. Catherine College and Eastern Kentucky University. Teresa worked at the Corrections Cabinet as a probation/parole officer and retired from the Department of Juvenile Justice as a regional facilities administrator. Teresa was a 20-year member of the Kentucky Motorcycle Association and Kentucky Bikers Association, District 12. She was an avid horse person, riding a horse, working in a barn or playing with her beloved animals was her happy place. She cherished her friends, family and St. X Friday night football. She never failed to tell you how much she loved her animals and wanted everyone else to love them also.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two nephews, Douglas Prather and Jonathan Prather.

She is survived by her husband, Terry Morgan; a stepdaughter, Kelsey (Trenton) Whitaker; her sister, Jennie Prather (Joe); her brother, Paul Brown (Cindy), nephew Dr. Jody Prather (Missy), niece, Debbie Wise (Terry), nephew, Bob Rinck (Kim), niece Jenny Clark (Josh), niece Natalie Travis (Matt); nephew, Ben Brown (Emily); and several great nieces and nephews.

The funeral is at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Deacon Dean Sears officiating. Burial follows in St. James Catholic Church Cemetery.

I met Teresa through a little Kentucky saddle horse By the name of Gorgeous George. All my life I´ve had a love for horses. My dream of someday owning one came true, when I met Teresa through an ad she placed about selling Georgie. We talked several times before she would commit to me to be his next owner. He was a very sweet boy. I´m so sorry I did not know about Teresa`s passing until yesterday. I had not been on Facebook for a couple years due to being hacked. I consider a very wonderful friend.
I called her my Kentucky friend. May you rest in peace and I know you are with all your animals that you loved through your life and also Georgie. Till we see each other again.
You´re Indiana friend, Carol Cox
