Terry Ann Collins Carpenter passed away October 25 at DeKalb Medical, Decatur. She loved the outdoors, dancing, music, travel, costumes, animals, doting on her grandchildren, spending time with her large extended family, and anything that flashed or sparkled. Not sure what to say?

Terry was the happiest, most energetic, and generous dancer at contradance . . . and my favorite dance partner for years, until both of us had to stop dancing for health reasons. She also sang her heart out. And loved to travel to exotic places, and bring back good stories. In the end, her family was No. 1.
She had a good life. Can you ask for more? What a special woman.
I realized as I read my emails that Terry's memorial service was this morning - and I missed it. I'm so sorry...

My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

My condolences to my co-worker Jill and the entire family during the loss of their love one. May you all find strength and peace with the beautiful memories of your love one during this difficult time.

May you have peace and comfort as you mourn the loss of your loved one. My deepest sympathies to family and friends. 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

My condolences to your family. May God give your family peace and comfort during this difficult time. Psalms 146:4,5

My sincere condolences are with your family in this time of deep sorrow. May God comfort your hearts and give you strength during the difficult days ahead. (2 Thessalonians 2:16,17)

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I met Terry when I started contra dancing around 2002. She quickly became my favorite dance partner. As a newcomer, she made me feel welcome, as she was always happy to see me, and always asked me to dance. She would often bring me gifts to wear dancing - pins, bracelets, blinking lights, etc. So I started trying to dress with as much 'bling' as she did. But I could never match her! Wow, we had such a great time. I will miss her so much.
