Not sure what to say?

I am late seeing this obit, Ted hired me to sell his Christmas trees when I was between jobs while attending UMSL. If only all employers were as gracious as he was to me, a skinny college student. Our lives crossed in another way. His son in law, Kirk Verseman, is my 2nd cousin. Kirk´s Mom and my Mom were niece and aunt but were best of family friends, almost sisters. My sincerest sympathies to one of the great ones!

A true pillar of St. Louis. He embellished the city.

After a Cleveland HS football game in about 1962 Mr Drewes politely and firmly requested my car of boisterousness, complete with air horn, move on so his Grand Avenue neighbors could get some quiet. It was a class act that furthered our education.

Ted Drewes--a St. Louis tradition! Thank you, Ted Drewes and the Drewes family for creating the stores and becoming one of the great trademarks of St. Louis. My condolences to his family, especially Cindy and Kirk. Love, Colleen Starkloff

Years of fond memories and great custard! A St Louis icon and a friend to all. You will be missed by many!

I enjoyed being a "carhop" at Ted Drewes. I worked for Ted senior who was always irritated by the boys who would rough up his gravel parking lot with their car tires. I had more fun meeting lots of boys! I did meet Ted Jr. also.

Condolence to the Family. Stay Prayerful.

ME AND ALL MY KIDS AND GRANDKIDS ALWAYS LOVED GOING TO TED DREWS IN THE SUMMER FOR SHAKES AND SUNDAES AND TALKING TO HIM WHEN HE WAS THERE AND HE WILL BE MISSED BUT THE LEGEND WILL LIVE ON AND ON!

So many special memories of the family and stand. My prayers are with you
