Not sure what to say?

Captain Lockhart was a Great Leader and a Good Man... I am proud to have been a fellow Plankowner under his command... ET1(SW) Keyes, USN, CE Division LPO, USS Valley Forge (CG-50)... Go Navy!!

Truly a leader of men! My CO in CG50 VALLEY FORGE.

Ted was a fraternity brother (KDR) at Colby College in Maine. He was a senior my freshman year. Great guy, very smart with a funny sense of humor.

Admiral Lockhart was my CO on CG50 and I served with him at the Pentagon. He was truly a leader that set a fine example for others. V/R GSCM(SW) Fiorillo Ret

Was my CO on CG50 and had the privilege to serve with him at Pentagon. He was inspiring, enlightening and a fine officer

The world is a lesser place without you, I look at a picture´s frequently of Valley forge and the memories I gained there and realize that great men like you have made me what I am today. Thank you Sir

Finest Commanding Officer that I had the privilege to serve.

He was the best we had.

Carolyn,
My Mom mentioned you called, and we just received your letter with the sad news of Ted's passing. My Dad was so fond and such an admirer of his cousin, Ted. Remember the Lockhart Racing sticker he put on the window of the bridge? Such a great sense of humor! I remember hearing how loved and respected he was by his crews. Such a great loss, please accept our deepest condolences.
