I have only now - in September 2024 -learned of Ted´s passing. It was many years ago when our paths crossed at the then-Department of Health, Education & Welfare in Washington, D.C. I was working in the Office of the Secretary, and had the great good fortune to meet Ted and as one sometimes can say, we "hit it off"" and enjoyed both professional and social conversations.
