Not sure what to say?

I first met Mr Woods in early 1971 when he hired me out of grad school at Cortland to take a teaching position at North Rose-Wolcott. I must say, with his military background he was most professional and very persuasive. He became my mentor, and with his guidance, he became like a "big brother" to me. We were known for getting into some jocular banter over the years-all in good fun

I was a member of Ted's graduation class at Cortland State. While I knew Ted, we were not close friends. Because my career took me away from New York state I was not aware of the success he achieved in the school system in Wayne and Cayuga counties. The tributes that have been recorded here make it clear that he was a special kind of educator. As a result, he has made his classmates proud to have known him.

Ted Woods was my teacher, coach, mentor, and friend. He was an energetic, honest, caring, hard working person. I regret I did not leave my home in Lancaster, PA to visit him. My life is richer as a result of my positive relationship with Ted...

Mr. Woods will always be a fond memory for both Craig and I. He was our coach, our teacher , s mentor and a family friend for years. Rest in peace, sir.

Mr. Woods was a caring supportive administrator. He encouraged trying new approaches to teaching classes. If it didn't work, his suggestion was modify or try a new method. He supported students and staff alike. I respected Mr. Woods as an administrator and friend and his spirit will live on in those who knew him.

Meeting and knowing Ted, was a privilege and honor. We have lost a gentle giant and hero of life. Dennis Hicks Stanley, N.Y.

Indeed a fine man. I remember him from my, and his, days at North Rose Central.
