Theresa DeVito Scialla

AGE: 80 • Interlaken

Theresa DeVito Scialla, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at her home in Interlaken. She was 80 years old. Theresa worked as an inventory management specialist at Fort Monmouth until she retired in 1988. She will be remembered for her love of cooking, her compassion toward animals and her unwavering faith and devotion to the Catholic Church.

An extraordinary mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Theresa will be dearly missed by her many family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Julia DeVito; her son, Fred Scialla III; and her sister, Angela Lucia. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and James Page of Interlaken; two grandchildren, Kate Page and Tara Aho, and Tara's husband David; her niece, Nancy Gallo; her nephew, Peter Lucia; her brother and sister-in-law, Daniel DeVito and Rhea Perlman of Beverly Hills; two nieces, Lucy and Gracie DeVito; nephew, Jake DeVito; many dear cousins and friends, and her caregivers, Tawanda, Cris, Keona, and Dawn.

Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Monday, July 7 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Asbury Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 805 Pine St., Asbury Park, NJ 07712, and are greatly appreciated.
