Theresa Scialla Obituary
AGE: 80 • Interlaken
Theresa DeVito Scialla, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at her home in Interlaken. She was 80 years old. Theresa worked as an inventory management specialist at Fort Monmouth until she retired in 1988. She will be remembered for her love of cooking, her compassion toward animals and her unwavering faith and devotion to the Catholic Church.
An extraordinary mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Theresa will be dearly missed by her many family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Julia DeVito; her son, Fred Scialla III; and her sister, Angela Lucia. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and James Page of Interlaken; two grandchildren, Kate Page and Tara Aho, and Tara's husband David; her niece, Nancy Gallo; her nephew, Peter Lucia; her brother and sister-in-law, Daniel DeVito and Rhea Perlman of Beverly Hills; two nieces, Lucy and Gracie DeVito; nephew, Jake DeVito; many dear cousins and friends, and her caregivers, Tawanda, Cris, Keona, and Dawn.
Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Monday, July 7 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Asbury Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 805 Pine St., Asbury Park, NJ 07712, and are greatly appreciated. Buckley Funeral Home, 509 Second Ave., Asbury Park, is handling the arrangements. Condolences may be expressed on our website: www.Buckleyfuneralhome.net.

Theresa I did not find out about your passing until a few years after. This is Chrissy (Anderson) Fowler my mom was Janny Annunziata. You are a big part of my childhood memories and I will always remember going to your house from across the street from my grandparent's house. My mom & Judy were friends and I ended up working with Judy at FoodTown in the 90s. I even babysat your granddaughters a few times. My mom and I cleaned your moms house before the funeral. She had a beautiful home. Thank you for making my mom and me feel like part of your family. You were such a sweet and loving person. I wish I could have seen you again before you passed. Maybe you will find my mom up there. RIP and may your family find peace and comfort this holiday season and always. Xoxoxo

On behalf of Eileen Smith (meridian Nursing and Rehab in Shrewsbury) Theresa was a very Dear friend of my mother in law Eileen. Theresa would send her cards and call her. She was just the sweetest person and my mother in law will be devastated when she learns of her passing. We are so sorry for your loss and will pray for her soul which is now at Peace and will also pray for her family left behind to find Peace as well. She will surely be missed.
