ALLEN Thomas F. Allen, age 81, of Osprey Road in Alton, NH, died November 14, 2007 at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro, NH. Born May 16, 1926 in Bridgeport, son of the late Royal and Mary (Peters) Allen, he resided in Alton, NH for the past four years, having previously resided in Lordship, Stratford for almost 50 years. Thomas was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps. Prior to retirement, he was employed as a diesel mechanic with Lombard Brothers Trucking Co. He loved fishing for stripers on Long Island Sound or bass on Lake Winnipesaukee. Survivors include his wife of 60 years: Patricia (Reilly) Allen of Alton, NH; and four children: Cheryl and husband Dennis Drown of Southbury, Brian and wife Charlene Allen of Wolfeboro, N.H., Royal Allen and Jeffrey Allen, both of Rochester, NH; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister: Laura Keefe of Florida, also many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two grandsons, three brothers: Edward, Kenneth and Richard Allen; and a sister, Judith Allen. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 19, 2007 at 3 p.m. at Peaslee Alton Funeral Home, 12 School Street, Alton, NH 03809, also a Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at Our Lady of Peace Church on Stratford Road in Stratford, CT at 11:00 am. Aunt Pat, Cheryl, Brian, Roy & Jeff, I am so very sorry to hear about Uncle Tom. He was such a very nice man. And I loved him very much. We used to see each other every week at the old Shaws in Stratford and shop together and just talk about "old times" I will miss him very much. also I am glad we got to see him over the summer. If you need anything or even just to talk call me.

Unlce Tom always was easy-going, quite entertaining, knew EVERYONE, and no matter how much we tested him we could never find a place where he didn't know all about the businesses and their owners and past owners and their families...
