Some Memories of Poppy: Taking turns jogging on the beach with you; hunting the woods of Ross Hill Campground for birds; sharing ice cream while watching all of the Christmas Specials (really all of the holiday specials), gardening in your backyard; washing the dogs off of the dock in NH (Ivory soap DOES float!); trimming my stuffed kitten's whiskers; our walk during the eye of hurricane Gloria; "arf says Sandy, always with a happy smile!". There are so many more memories I'll share with my daughters. I only wish they had the chance to know you the way I did. Our protector, our mentor, our Poppy. I miss you and love you very much.

Aunt Pat, Cheryl, Brian, Roy & Jeff, I am so very sorry to hear about Uncle Tom. He was such a very nice man. And I loved him very much. We used to see each other every week at the old Shaws in Stratford and shop together and just talk about "old times" I will miss him very much. also I am glad we got to see him over the summer. If you need anything or even just to talk call me.

Aunt Pat and Family:
I am sorry for your loss. Unlce Tom always was easy-going, quite entertaining, knew EVERYONE, and no matter how much we tested him we could never find a place where he didn't know all about the businesses and their owners and past owners and their families... I think only God knew more people than Uncle Tom and I don't know for sure. He was such a gentle, easy-going man. I have such fond memories of him from when I was so young that they aren't so much memories as feelings as I can't remember many details just how I felt. I do remember sharing lunch with him and learning that I do like tomato soup but not the other kid - who knows what that was(apparently it was HIS lunch that he shared with me but I just remember sitting on his lap and sharing lunch). Thankfully he was a strong swimmer because Ned and I would have been out of luck that time when we were about 6 and decided to take the rowboat out onto the lake and no one noticed. I was so glad to see him swim up! I hope the fond memories of the good life he led helps ease the pain. Aunt Pat, on the last day I saw my mom we talked about you and how hard things had to be for you-she was very concerned about you and Uncle Tom. She was quite fond of him and knew it had to be very tough on you and she respected you for being as strong as you have been and extremely saddened to hear of the difficulties you and Uncle Tom were going through. I know you were in her prayers and still are. I will keep you in my prayers as well.
