To the Doherty Family,
I did not have the pleasure of knowing Tom, but having met Kathleen (Kat) and having worked with her in Minnesota....I found a friend for life and so I am one of the lucky ones to have experienced the love, laughter and special joy just from knowing a Doherty. This has been passed on through her parents, siblings and nieces and nephews..therefore.. Tom will live on. Deepest sympathy... From Minnesota

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Tom's passing. I was fortunate to know him during my time in Quincy. He was the perfect family man and always seemed to take care of himself. God does things in strange ways as he was much too young to leave us. God Bless his family.

Tom and I worked together at CNA for many years. He was a wonderfully calm sounding board for work as well as family issues, and for him, his family was his life. He spoke constantly about his wife and the girls, their next sporting event, his hopes and dreams for them. I am honored that our paths intersected, my life has certainly been made richer by knowing Tom.

Tom and I worked together at CNA for many years. Though never in the same CNA local,we met up often when I traveled to Quincy or we both traveled to the Home Office. Tom's enthusiasm for family and life was infectious and an inspiration for me as I started my own family. Though we had lost touch when he left CNA, I thought of him often. My warm thoughts and prayers to family and friends in this time of sorrow.
