Not sure what to say?

Dear Dorn Family,
It was with great sorrow that I learned of Tom's passing. My husband was a pharmacist at Diedrich's in the late '80's and early '90's, and I worked with Tom briefly at Market Square. I just adored him, and will never forget him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

To the Dorn Family,
Just a note to let you know that I grew up just off the corner of Calhoun & Greenfield Ave back in the old days and boy, do I remember Tom Dorn Pharmacy. I made so many trips there as a child and an adult, I'll never forget. That is the place where I bought my penny candy! I didn't know your father well, but I remember he was always so nice to us kids. I was reading the death notices tonight and recognized the name and thought it would be nice if all his family knew...

To the Dorn Family,

It is with great saddness that we are writing this note. Tom was such a vibrant person, always full of mischief. We will always remember our days visiting him at the various pharmacies. Please accept our entire family's deepest sympathy.

Dear Barb and Family:
During the crazy days of the State Fair, Tom was a wonderfully calming presence -- always smiling, always helpful, always supportive. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. Please accept my most heartfelt sympathy.

Dorn Family:

Please accept my sincerest sympathy in the loss of your father. I remember the times we got together and played in our backyard. Your father was a great friend to my father and mother. He will be missed.

Sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you.

Dear Barbara and Family,
My deepest sympathy. Although I moved from Brookfield 10 years ago I did manage to see Tom several times when I visited. What a great man!
We always had such great conversations about our kids. He will be missed and may you and the kids be given the gift of acceptance. Tom has the eternal reward we are all struggling to attain.
Love and Peace, Lois Smith Goetz

It was always a great adventure to ride our bicycles down from the Westchester neighborhood to "Tom Dorn's" with our allowance or baby-sitting money tucked in our pockets, eager for comic books, candy, and, especially during those hot summer days, popsicles. Mr. Dorn was often able to step from behind the pharmacy counter to say hello and share a smile. It's a fond childhood memory.

Thank you, Tom.

With sincere sympathy,
