I met Mr. Fisher when I was working at the David Taylor Model Basin
(now know as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division). He retired about 25 years ago. He also bowled in the employee bowling league. I knew Mr. Fisher both as a co-worker and as a member of an opposing bowling team. He even sponsored my membership to the Izaak Walton League about 25 years ago. He was a very easy going nice guy.

Warren was a good friend to many of us with the Izaak Walton League of America. He was an undaunted leader on conservation issues, having been instrumental in getting the Maryland "Chickadee Checkoff" added to the State tax code - a provision to designate a couple of tax dollars to worthwhile conservation project.

Out of respect for Warren's many years of dedication to conservation, the Rockville Chapter of the IWLA named their scholarship program for youth pursuing post...

Uncle Warren -- one of my favorites! Memories will always be of sheep, county fairs and square dancing! We all loved him dearly and will miss him. Much love to his family.
