Thomas Flower

I loved Tom. Our lives took different paths but I know that he always knew that I loved him. For some 57 years I could always count on him. Right now I feel such an emptiness in my life. I surely am glad that I had his daughter.

In the last couple years of his life, I would get into heated debates with my grandpa; and though we rarely agreed, I remember feeling so honored when he finally looked at me as an independent woman capable of having her own strong opinions rather than just his little granddaughter. I know I inherited my long limbs, my crooked nose, and most importantly my strength of character from this pillar of a man. Thanks for passing this quality down Grandpa, I know I have the strength to stand up for...

Tom Flower was my close friend for almost 60 years. He was best man at my wedding and godfather to my older son. In all the years of our relationship I knew that I could always count on him for support and he knew the same about me. Tom, it was great to know you.
