I was a student of Madeleine's during high school - it must have been around the time they married because I remember the name change. Tom, she, and all their family are in my thoughts and prayers. Madeleine, you played an important role in my development, and I ended up in Amherst, too!

You will be truly missed Uncle Tom. My heart breaks for the family.

Sending my love to his family. I knew him for a time, where in my life I didn´t know where to turn. Between him and wife, along with Jeanne and Mary I felt very much loved and helped me through those bad times. I will never forget the loved they shared to me and welcoming to their lives.
