Not sure what to say?

Dear Jenny, I only just found out about Tom's passing. I am shocked and sorry to learn of it. We had met a number of times in different cities during his term as President of CIArb and I was Chair of CIArb EAB. I last saw Tom when he was with you at St Andrews Square in Edinburgh, I believe you were both having a stroll after an arbitration conference he and I had been speaking. My heartfelt condolence, he was a good and well accomplished man. RIP Tom. Mary Thomson

My profound condolences to the Halket family. I only learne dof his passing a few minutes ago. I met Tom years ago when he arbitrated a case I was litigating. Over the years we became friendly and worked together on some projects. I appreciated his cool head in business and quick wit when breaking bread. He was always carrying on about his kids and their accomplishments. The best advice he...

Dear Jenny, I was very very saddened to learn today of the death of your father. As another of the Presidents of CIArb I had the pleasure and honour to get to know Tom over more than 15 years. We met on many occasions in London and a few times in New York as well as CIArb events around the world. We shared a love of politics and had many a debate over a good meal about the quality (or lack of quality) of the current crop of politicians on both sides of the Pond. We had some memorable meals...

My sympathies for your loss. We were honoured to have Tom Halket attend and speak at the inaugural APAC Regional Conference in Singapore in 2019. I had the pleasure of sharing a dinner of chilli crab with Tom and others that evening. He was a delightful man. So sorry for your loss.

It is with both sorrow and disbelief that we face the prospect of not having with us, going forward, the energy, enthusiasm, good humor and good will that has defined Tom. He brought these and other precious qualities to every enterprise he touched. We all have our meaningful bonds with Tom, but for me and others it was his having inspired and gotten off the ground the annual international arbitration course that the New York Branch of the Chartered Institute offers and in which Columbia...

A true asset to the St. ANDREW'S SOCIETY OF THE STATE OF NY. A leader and stalwart supporter. May he rest in peace. He will be missed and remembered. Patrick Angus Carr

I had various dealings with Tom, particularly when he was President of CIArb. He was knowledgeable and invariably courteous. Thomas Halket will be sadly missed.

I worked with Tom on his new book on arbitrating international IP disputes. It was an honor, and indeed so much fun, working with Tom, who was the editor.
