To was a teacher of mine in the 7th grade. He was tough but fair. Years later we became friends.

Riverview Jr. High, my 9th grade year. I owe so much to Mr. Hofeling. I behaved very poorly in my music class and the teacher sent me to the principle. Mr. Hofeling, the asst. principle, met me in the hallway and lifted me off the ground and put me up against the wall. He 'advised' me to apologize to the music teacher. I have not treated a teacher or a leader with that type of behavior again. I have told this story more than a few times- and the feeling I had with Mr. Hofeling was he cared...

Tom Hofeling was a wonderful teacher. I had the opportunity to have been taught also by his wonderful wife Joyce. They both put their heart and soul into teaching. Also grateful to have felt their kindness. Truly wonderful people. Condolences to dear Joyce.

Mr. Hofeling was a very strict teacher, but a great teacher.
