3rd grade Lannon School
Mr. K was a R.S.V.P in our classroom for many years at Lannon School. He was very loved by the students and myself. He served as a special grandpa and male role model for many kids. My favorite memories of Mr. K were the days he wore his uniform to school and spoke to the kids about his service to our country. The Honor Flight was a fantastic event that we shared in. I will not forget the night we welcomed Mr. K home from Washington, D.C. He was a great friend and I will miss him...

This is the Tom Kavanaugh I knew and loved
How do you say good bye to a man like Tom Kavanaugh without tears in your eyes. It just can't be done nor should it. In our hearts a memory is kept, of ones we loved and will never forget. He was an inspiration to many. I feel so blessed and honored to have known Tom. He initiated the St. Agnes TCU program many moons ago and continued to be involved until his 90's. When Tom would visit our classroom it was never just about his wise words, it was all about interaction. Tom would...

Dad and me
So many small memories that keep coming back carrying me up and down the hallway as a child when I was sick, all of us kids playing and jumping on his back, quickly setting the kitchen table before he got home from work so it looked like dinner was almost ready, yearly drives to North Dakota for family vacation in a crammed station wagon, trying to talk me out of buying that beat up Fiat when I wanted my first car. Dad was always there for us; for Mom, his children, their children, and many...

My admiration for Tom was endless. I knew him back in the mid 1970s. I was a mid 20s single woman who was the head of the finance commission on the Parish Council. He helped me navigate through things I didn't know about the finances of the parish and the school. As women are making major strides in leadership roles, Tom was ahead of his time, treating me with respect as he helped me. I truly believe it was his love for Audrey and his family that guided him. What a great man he was!
