Tom will be missed. He was a kind man who enjoyed learning and teaching and was always eager to talk about what he was reading. He would frequently quiz on some fact he had learned and then ask what you thought about an issue. He would greet us with a big smile when we went to visit. A unique friend and colleague. One who made a difference in the lives of many. Such happy memories recalling stimulating conversations. He listened and - sometimes - even altered his thinking. Regardless there was always mutual respect alongside strong devotion and love of his family.
