Funeral services with military honors for Thomas "Tom" Autry McAfee, 81, will be held Monday at 3:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow in Henry Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 2:00 p.m. until service time at 3:00 at Memorial Funeral Home.

Tom died on February 22, 2019 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born on December 21, 1937 in McNairy County, TN to the late Leonard Leslie and Mary Lou Gray McAfee. He graduated from Michie High School in 1956 and was the first graduating class from the school. He later enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he served from 1956 until 1976 and was a veteran of the Vietnam War and fought in the TET in 1968 and 1969. While in service he spent time in Alaska, Greenland, Spain and Vietnam. After his retirement he worked in maintenance for the Magnolia Regional Health Center and retired from Ringer of American after 20 years. He was a member of the American Legion and Retired Military Association.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Doris Lancaster McAfee; brothers, Bob McAfee, Alton McAfee (Charlotte) and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-son, Bobby Norvell, Jr. and a sister-in-law, Nelda McAfee.

Bro. Randy Bostic and Bro. Charlie Browning will officiate the services.
