Not sure what to say?

My grandpa was my hero. Actually, he was more to me than words can desribe. He was an extremely handy guy. He could fix anything, anywhere, anytime. I still look up to him now and I will forever. He was a great role model, grandfather, father, and husband. I miss him terribly but when I think of him I think of all the good times our family has had together. He could alwlays put a smile on my face. I love you and miss you Grandpa, you will forever be in my heart.

Sometimes There are No
Perfect Words,
Only Thoughtful Silences
That Whisper Softly
Of Caring.
Tom Will be missed by all.

Dear Aunt Cookie, Laurie and Chris,
Uncle Tom was a loving husband, father, Grandfather and Godfather. Hold dear the memories of your time together and realize that he left a living legacy in each one of you, and in us, that goes on as the days pass.
He was genuine and kind and I'll bet right now he is smiling from ear to ear because he has a few nicer golf courses to choose from than the rest of us :-)
We Love You Beyond Words,

Cookie, Laurie and Crissy
What can I say.
Tom was more than just a brother-in-law to me. After having lived with him and Cookie for so many years, I'm sure he thought that he had two wives instead of just one to put up with. He was one of the easiest going people I ever met. If Cookie and I called him to say we were going to be late because we were still shopping, his answer would always be "That's Ok".
In all that time, I don't remember him getting upset with too many things. ...

Cookie, Chrissy and Laurie.
There are many good things we can say about the way Tom lived, but I was more inspired by the way Tom accepted death.

He never once said, Why me? or how bad he felt. His main concern was if he had done enough for his family.
I hope that I will accept my time with the same strength and dignity that Tom did.

"My Grandpa"

I would like to take a couple moments to describe my grandpa from the point of view of one of his grandchildren. He was the jolliest, proudest, and strongest man you will ever meet. He enjoyed many things in his life. More than anything he enjoyed helping others. To give a few examples one time my dad came up with an impossible idea to build an in ground pool. Well to say one thing this definetly was impossible until my grandpa agreed to help. Being the miracle maker he is...

Cookie, Words can't express the sincere sympathy we want to express to you during your loss. Tom was such a great person; he always made one feel so comfortable with his warm, boyish smile. Our youngest son, Chris, is getting married Friday night so we won't be able to attend the services. Please know you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Cookie, Laurie & Chrissy,
Lena and I wanted to say how sorry we were to hear about Mr. McDougal. We have so many great memories of him during our softball years! Not to mention all the pool parties. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Cookie, Laurie, Chrissy, Flo, and the family,

I am so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. I understand how hard these times are for everyone; my dad passed 2 weeks ago. Cookie, you and Tom took me into your home and helped me during my greatest time of need and I cannot thank you enough for that. Tom was a great man who lived a wonderful life and he will be sincerely missed. Please accept my deepest sympathies and please let me know if there is anything I can do to help at this...
