Not sure what to say?

I wish to add my own tribute and fond respects to the memories of Tom, as well as to his family. Tom was a fellow educator in Fresno Unified, and I remember him most of all for his positive attitude and the powerful influence he had on students, including my own children. His loss does not only impact his fine family, but greatly saddens friends, acquaintances, ex-students and former colleagues. Rest in peace, Tom. You've left a legacy that will long be a source of pride to your family. ...

I first became aware of Tom Phillips when he rented a room from our friends Joe and Jane Bolkavatz while he studied Industrial Arts at Fresno State. I was 12 years old at the time. I later attended Bullard High School, where he coached my Class of 1962 friends Doug Bradford and Jan Zealer. He was a great coach.

May he rest in peace.

I first met "dad" back in the early 2000's. Since i was the same age as his kids i was immediately thought of that way. He always had a smile on his face and a laugh that was contagious.Wwe gave him a Bi-Plane ride out here (with a T-Shirt) and you would of thought i had given him a million dollars. That's just the way he was. Little things meant a lot to him. He wore the T-Shirt proudly. I will miss him. I'm so sorry for your loss. He had a great life and lived longer than most. I also...

Thank you all for the wonderful memories of our dad. Lots of other terrific comments are being posted at thomasgrantphillips.com.

Coach Phillips ~
What a great swimming coach to us at Bullard, a good man, a good husband to Marilyn, a good father to his children and always with an easy smile. He will be missed by many.
Love you, Coach!

Good Man, sorry for your loss

Tom was our neighbor for 28 years. He was always ready to help others including us. He was a positive, caring, giving person. Always had a good word and a smile. He talked to the kids in the neighborhood in a way that they listened. We will miss him greatly. I was fortunate to have been able to spend a little time with him this past fall. Vaya con dois tom.

Sad to hear of the passing of a great man. He was a positive influence in my life and I will miss him greatly. Rest in peace my friend. Tom Laub II and family.
