Cousin Tom was a great companion and always a welcome sight at family gatherings. His life was inspirational in scope: journalist, financier, adventurer, and fly-fisher...to name a few of his many avocations. Our love and sympathy to Tom's wonderful family.

Tom was a "caring stickler",insisting on one's ability to "know",and not to "think"; to find any errors in any writings. Tom could be gentle in his thoughts, but he was demanding in his character, and minced no words. In my working as Tom's assistant in Game Trails, I was given the task for years to be able to have the "grasshopper mind" on which he insisted, on my having charge over 6 countries. It was an experience of learning, and one that I would not have missed. I still have the...

It was a privilege to have known and love Mr. Spang. I will always treasure our time together and I am forever thankful that we found each other in this lifetime.

He was a friend and a very nice person.
