Not sure what to say?

Tom Stanley and I had a very special common bond...our grandson, Conner. My fondest memories of Tom are the many words of wisdom he shared with me and the many laughs. No matter how down one felt, being around Tom always proved to be very uplifting and he could make even the saddest person laugh. He loved his family very much and spoke often of them to me. He was most definitely a symbol of love and laughs.

Thank you for sharing your fond memories of our father. We appreciate all your prayers for us at this sad time. God Bless you.

Tom was my dad and I miss him very much. All the wonderful things people said about him really touched my heart. He had a wonderful long life and was lucky enough to have married well twice.See you on the other side Dad.Love Janice (one of the twins)

Tom Stanley was also my swimming coach in the mid-50's. He was fun, always positive, quiet, and of course - gorgeous! All of us girls had crushes! I have often thought of him over the years, and extend my hearfelt sympathies to his family.

Tom was a very important influence in my life at Southampton as my coach and my first boss. I learned a lot of life lessons from him. He will be missed, I know.

Tom Stanley was my swimming coach at Southampton (SRA).He was a great coach and motivator.I improved and achieved more than I thought I could .For a kid who was 10-12 years old at the time I learned valuable life lessons from Tom on what it means to be in good physical condition, and the satisfaction of accomplishing something you did not think you could do.My memory of Tom is when he would be telling us what we should be doing with our strokes, etc.when we were all down at the shallow end of...

Very sorry to hear of Tom's passing. He was unique in the formative years of my life. I, and the rest of the kids my age, loved and respected Tom like no other.

I am sure that I speak for many kids, now grown, when I say that Tom was special. Thank you Tom and best wishes to all of the Stanley family.

Tom Stanley was my swimming coach and a very positive and influential person in my growth and development during my childhood in Southampton Community Assoication. I'll never forget him, just as many sports team members never forget their admired coach. I have to say ditto to everything Jonathan Angier said in his entry.
To Susan and Tomilyn...you may or may not remember me but I remember you and your mother who actually taught me at St. Gertrude High School--I have your family in my...

Tom Stanley was a powerful influence in my life when he coached me on the Southampton Swim Team.

He was always positive and he was able to get me to do things I didn't think I could do or want to do.

While it was in the context of swimming, those lessons stuck with me all of my life and in all aspects of my life.

It has been decades since I saw or heard from Tom, but his memory has been with me always.

I send my sincerest sympathy to Tom's family and best wishes...
