Thomas Tamburello Obituary
Thomas Joseph Tamburello passed peacefully with the autumn afternoon sun on his face on October 15, 2025, at the age of 74. Born in Denver, CO and a proud resident of Indian Hills, CO since 1976, Tom lived a life rich in adventure, music, and love.
Tom was never happier than when he was outdoors-hiking mountain trails, casting a line into a quiet stream, showing up to a tee time late or simply sitting beneath a wide-open sky. Nature wasn't just a backdrop for his life; it was his sanctuary, his teacher, and his greatest inspiration. He was always chasing the next great catch, and while he never did reveal the location of his "secret fishing spot," rumor has it he's up there right now bragging about the monster fish he finally landed.
He was also known for his playful spirit and freewheeling ways-Tom could never quite abide by the speed limit, whether on the road or in life. And for those who knew him well, "Tamburello Time" was its own special time zone-Tom was always in a hurry and rarely on time, but he always arrived with a smile, a story, and usually a guitar in hand.
Tom also had a sharp eye for a bargain-he could never pass up a good deal at ARC, no matter how questionable the treasure might be.
A gifted guitarist with a soulful touch, Tom had a way of connecting people through music. His songs told stories of gratitude, laughter, and the beauty in everyday moments.
Professionally, Tom was a realtor for over 40 years. He brought together buyers and sellers all over the Denver area and focused in particular on Indian Hills. Many of his clients became life-long friends and musical accompaniment.
Tom found comfort in his Catholic roots and wisdom in Buddhist teachings.
Tom will be remembered for his warm smile, his easy laugh, and the quiet kindness that made everyone feel at home in his presence. His legacy is one of friendship, compassion, and a gentle reminder to slow down, breathe deeply, and appreciate the simple joys that surround us-though Tom himself rarely slowed down for long.
He was preceded in death by his father Joseph, mother Elizabeth, brother Mark and son Hunter. He is survived by his daughter Amber, son-in-law Tom, grandson Orion, brothers Dan and Greg, sister-in-law Anne as well as many nieces and nephews who will forever cherish his memory and the music he brought into their lives.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Nov. 12, 2025 from 1 pm to 3:30 pm at The Barn at Evergreen Memorial Park, 26624 N. Turkey Creek Rd., Evergreen, CO. Friends and loved ones are invited to gather, share stories, and play the songs that meant so much to him. We ask that you bring your favorite side dish or dessert to share. If you are musically talented and want to bring an instrument to jam feel free.
Though his songs may have ended, Tom's melody will live on-softly echoing in the hearts of all who knew and loved him....and if we know Tom, he's probably running a little late to heaven-but he'll get there when he's ready, guitar in hand and smile on his face.
