Tommy was THE BEST neighbor. From the moment I heard his gravelly voice over the fence to our last visit in November I always enjoyed time with Tommy. He was whip smart at motors and mechanical things. He guided me when he could but would always fess up when he wasn't sure. When he restored a jeep or a car he always came by beaming with his handiwork. There is no one like him. He will be remembered with love. Tommy I hope they have the MLB package in Heaven!!

I worked at the HPD from 1972 to 1974 as a CSO ( paramedic) There were several police officers in those days that stood out as outstanding public servants. Tom Trippy was one of those special people. Rev Dale Adkins Delaware Ohio

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Captain Trippy. When I was a rookie on the Huntington Police Department, he was my Watch Commander on midnight shift. He was a great leader. He always acknowledged the good things that you would do publicly. And, when I made a mistake, he would meet privately with me and instruct me in a positive manner. I never will forget his leadership style. He was a good man. I will miss him.

My dad was a wonderful father and a genuine good man. He always had a kind word, a wisecrack or words of wisdom when I needed them most. I will miss him the rest of my life... daughter. Becky Trippy

We are so sorry to see this. Tom was a great friend and we spent lots of time as families doing such fun things. We wish Martha and the family peace during this time and may God help all of you to find comfort.
