May God's grace strengthen and keep you during this time.
For to be absent from the body is to be present with The Lord. May he rest in peace

For the twenty years I was a fireman Tom Wightman was the finest Chief that I knew. He was an asset to the Fire Dept, the Citizens of NO and especially the men who were under him.
Unfortunately almost all the men who knew him as I did predeceased him. Had he died earlier there would be hundreds of Firemen expressing their sympathy.

When I started on the NOFD in 1969 in the 7th district, Chief Wightman was my chief. It was a pleasure to work with him. He set a great example for all who knew him. God bless "The Chief" and his family.
