Tommy was a great friend, mentor and my Best man. He took the time to show me the ropes when I first came to the States, even loaned me a truck to get to my first real job. He always came for the holidays and will be sorely missed in the future. I`m glad to have had the time to know this strong and vibrant light who`s example I shall strive to follow. I`ll miss you Thomas, but won`t forget how good you were to me.

Tommy was a First Baptist Church friend who was such a kind, gentle man he will be greatly missed! On the 2002 FBC Sanctuary Choir Freedom Tour we were touring Normandy cemetery when we realized the friends we were with weren't going to the beach. The three of us took off down the long steep way to the water. We worried & prayed for Tommy, but he wouldn't give up, and we made it back to the bus by the meeting time! We have prayed for his health in recent years and know he is without those concerns now, safely and happily with our Lord and Savior in Heaven. May you remember to grieve with Hope and thankfulness to have had such a precious father and husband!

Tommy was the most understanding person that i worked with at lakeview many years ago. He instructed me when i was dealing with juv. medications at the group homes way back when, responded to any calls i made to him, and was always smiling when seeing him at the pharmacy. Tommy, again thanks for all your help and understanding you showed for me. Deb Kinsley.

A sweet man who was truly enjoyable to be around. Spent many Boy Scout camp-outs with him and not one complaint. He beat me in a bicep curl competition once. I was 16. He was in his 60s!

So sorry to hear of Mr. Thomas passing away.
My Mother was Ellen Bell Hawes of Barnwell SC.
Her family and Mr. Thomas; grew up together. Very well acquainted with Mrs. Eloise and knew Mrs. Myrtle well. Heard all of their childhood exploits! Please know you are in my prayers and thoughts.
