THURMAN EZELL MORGAN, JR. Gary, Indiana Thurman Ezell Morgan, was called home Wednesday, March 8, 2006. Thurman was born to Berthetta Morgan and Thurman Morgan, Sr. on June 8, 1975 in Chicago, IL. He attended Bass Elementary School and graduated from Paul Robeson High in Chicago, IL. He loves playing the piano and drums. He was baptized at an early age and grew up in the church. He also attended Ivy Tech Community College. He belonged to William Taylor Lodge No. 1 AF & AM of Gary, IN. Thurman was a dedicated father and loving husband to his wife and four children. He was also a substitute father to his sisters and any child in his life. Thurman enjoyed traveling with his wife for quality time and also spending time with his children trying to teach and show his family a better life. Thurman was loved by many and was a dedicated friend worthy of his kindness. During Brother Morgan's Masonic travels, he was made a Master Mason and served as both the Junior Warden and Patron of William Taylor Lodge No. 1, and the Right Worshipful Grand Junior Warden of Most Worshipful St. Mark Grand Lodge. Our beloved Brother was so obligated as an Eastern Star under the adopted Rite of Oprah Chapter Order of Eastern Star. These are in addition to the numerous committees and assignments that the faithfully and admirably served with distinction until his final reward to glory. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Verda Morgan, his maternal grandfather, Billy Sutton, and other aunts and uncles. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Kennitha Morgan; four children: Deja', Ashley, Arq'eil, and Tannitha Morgan of Gary, IN; parents, Berthetta Morgan of Gary, IN and Thurman, Sr. (Valeria) Morgan of Chicago, IL; mother-in-law, Chuantani (John) Harris of Gary, IN and father-in-law, Kenneth Dixon of Memphis, TN; and a host of brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, special friends, and lodge members. Services will be held at Peter's Rock Baptist Church, 1725 E. 21st Avenue, Gary, IN at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2006. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 14, 2006 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Smith, Bizzell & Warner Funeral Home, 4209 Grant St., Gary, IN. Family hours 6-8 p.m.
