Not sure what to say?

To the Self family, my prayers are with each of you. Tilman and I were best of friends while growing up in the Bloomfield area of Macon. We shared many good times fishing, hunting, Boy Scouts, etc. I stayed at his house almost as much as my own during the summers and were always helping his sweet mother with outside chores (weeding flower beds etc. just to earn a little spending money as teens). The one defining event was our "survival" (by the grace of God) when my motor bike was hit by a...

Tilman Self is a great soul. He contributed years of tireless dedication to Bloomfield Little League with my dad in the early years of the league's inception. The last time I saw Tilman was on Upper River RD looking at a house for rennovation. It was good to see and speak with him that day. He will be missed but I do believe without a shadow of doubt, he is in paradise with our Father. My prayer is that God with continue to comfort this family in the days ahead. We will "all" be...

Our sincere sympathy to the Self families for your immense loss.

A special promise to Walker and her cousins... you'll have your own Fishing Angel with you now, when you're fishing on the River! Your Pop will be luring the big ones in for you.

May God comfort you and your family in this time of great loss. We truly understand the complete emptiness that you are feeling at this time. Take comfort in all the memories you made together down through the years for these will be what sustains you in the coming days. From all we have heard and all we have read, your Dad was a fine man. You will sorrow because he is gone, but then rejoice for all the wonderful years you shared with him and for the example he gave to you as a Father,...

Dear Self Family,
I only knew Bro. Tilman for a short time at Pine Forest and will never forget the day he and his wife joined our church family. He gave me alot of imput on the 100th Anniversary of Pine Forest this past year and I will never forget his love for his Saviour and family. He spoke fondly of you all and I know without a shadow of a doubt that we will all see him again someday. May the God of all creation keep you all safe and be with you during this time of grief.

Please accept my deepest sympathies. I met Mr. Self one day when my brakes failed on my truck. I was in the middle of the road when the Lord sent (Mr. Self) my help. He didn't hesitate to assist me by pushing my truck out of the road; He also was nice enough to drive me (a stranger) back home. We need more angels like this today. I thank God for allowing me to meet him.

Tripp We are Ash's parents. We send our condolences to you and your family.
Your father must have been an exceptional man .
