I have been praying for your family since I heard the news and I will continue to pray as you are forced to endure the grief and realization that Officer Abernethy is now our guardian angel in heaven instead of here on the streets of Houston. Try to focus on the good memories and let God and those of us in the HPD family comfort you. May God bless you all and know that we are grieving with you.
