Sending Tim's family my deepest condolences. I worked with Tim a few times during Hurricane Florence and remember walking the ditches with him talking about the mosquitoes. He was very kind and calm. I am saddened to know that he had the same rare cancer my sister died from. This touched my soul deeply. I will keep his family in my thoughts and prayers.

In 2016, while serving as a member of the Clayton Town Council, I had the pleasure of meeting Tim. I was immediately impressed by his professionalism and the manner in which he treated others. Since then, he has always made himself available for any questions I had about local government or when I was in Wilmington and just wanted to stop in and catch up. I have lost a friend and advisor. I cherished Tim as a colleague and will be forever grateful for his constant support and words of wisdom. He was such a positive influence and a wonderful human being. I will remember him most, though, as a doting husband and father, always beaming with pride as he spoke of Joy and Emily.
