Not sure what to say?

We appreciate all the comments being made about Tim.

I met Tim on the first day of junior high school. We hit it off right away and remained good friends throughout junior high and high school.

The three Tims, Jim and Chuck shared many happy times growing up - sleepovers, concerts, our ridiculously uncoordinated intramural basketball teams, trying to get girls to like us. Our group was together all the time.

Tim and I lost touch as time wore on, but I've thought of him and my other friends often. I was deeply saddened to...

Tim was a good friend. He sat next to me for about 5 years at work and we managed to go out to lunch together most of the time. Tim and I had a lot in common including attendance at the same University (OSU), same engineering group, and an enthusiasm for OSU football. I will miss his sense of humor (a little off beat), his engineering support, and his good friendship. He will be truly missed. Roy Booth

Tim was a coworker and a good friend. I will miss his laughter and humor. My condolences to his family.

I returned home today after a trip to learn of Tim’s passing. I am so very saddened by this event.

It saddens me that I lost touch with Tim. Growing up through my teen years with the “Tims” and Chuck I doubt that any of us considered that we would drift so far apart. All of these men were great, great friends. Tim Hatten was one of the most intelligent people I ever met and yet he could be goofy. He could be one of the most serious people and yet would laugh uproariously...

I am lucky to have known Tim since the 7th grade and we shared many wonderful times together! A highlight was our trip to Cincinnati to see Aerosmith & REO Speedwagon. Our many sleepovers with Tim, Tim, Tim, Jim, and Chuck will always be in my memories!

My mom enjoyed a laugh when Tim and Tim Huneck would come to visit and she would say "Tim" and we all would reply.

Those of you that knew Tim were aware of how conservative he was. Well, on his visit to our home in...

Tim was a delightful person to work with and to know. Having the good fortune of having him in my life is truly a blessing.
God bless you all in your time of sorrow.

I am Tim's sister-in-law (married to Steve). Thank you all for your comments. It is particularly nice to hear about Tim's college days from his fraternity brothers and about his career at Lockheed Martin from so many dear friends.

To Jim, Tim had a Diesel Jetta most recently, but has not had to contend with much snow in Texas!

To Gary, I miss that belly laugh too, though sometimes I catch a hint of it in Steve's laugh!

Bill Arbegast and the Advanced Materials Processing Center here at SD School of Mines and Technology wish to give our condolences to Tim's family, mother, brother, and sister. Bill and Tim knew each other for many years when Bill worked for Lockheed Martin and later came to SDSMT. Bill considered Tim a good friend and they always had a lot to talk about.
