I was just looking up Father Tim because I´m approaching my nine year wedding anniversary and I wanted to send him an update on my family. Father Tim was the military chaplain that married my husband and I. He did so after we were denied services by another priest because he didn´t feel we knew each other well or long enough. My deepest condolences to the Hirten family. Tim was one of my closest friends when we attended St John the Baptist high school. He was one of the most giving, caring and humble people I have know. I am deeply saddened with his passing. I know he is in God´s loving arms

To the entire Hirten Family,
My deepest condolences on the loss of Fr. Tim. I went to St. John the Baptist with Tim and he was always one of the "nice guys", friendly to everyone! I remember how shocked we all were when SJB hosted the first Talent Contest and FR. Tim and his older brother took to the stage and wowed us all with their Irish Step Dancing. It was not something we expected from our star basketball player! I saw Fr. Tim at I believe our 30th class reunion and he was charming...
